Six Flags Discovery Kingdom

  • Back - Riders on the Roar wooden roller coaster have made mention how this ride threw them around and the roughness of the ride was painful, especially on their backs. All of these issues stemmed from riders sitting within the last 3 rows of the roller coaster train.
  • Neck - Riders on the Kong roller coaster have made mention of their neck whipping around while riding this roller coaster. These issues stem from riders sitting within all areas of the roller coaster train.
  • Misc. Injuries - Riders on the Kong roller coaster have complained of shoulder, ear, and headache associated with riding this roller coaster. There were also issues with riders who wore glasses on this ride cutting their ears due to the rough nature of this ride. These injuries occurring within all areas of the roller coaster train.
    • Riders on the Boomerang roller coaster also made mention of shoulder and ear pain associated with riding. These types of injuries were observed from riders sitting within all areas of the roller coaster train.
  • Motion Sickness - Riders of all ages who rode the Tony Hawk Big Spin made mention of motion sickness after riding this attraction. We suggest those who are prone to motion sickness, please DO NOT RIDE.

  • Misc. Injuries - Riders on the Iron Wolf stand up roller coaster have made mention of three things:
    • Headache and the triggering of migraine headaches (in certain riders) associated with the rough nature of this ride.
    • Shoulder pain due to hard restraint pressing up against riders shoulders.
    • Leg pain centered around the calves.

    Riders on the Shockwave roller coaster also made mention of this rides rough nature and leaving this ride with pounding headaches. Furthermore, riders also mentioned the rough nature of this ride coupled with the hard restraint system has led to shoulder pain and bruising.

    Riders on the Batman roller coaster have also made mention of losing feeling in their legs after riding this roller coaster. Rider age varied and issues stemmed from riders sitting within all areas of the roller coaster train. This has been a re-occurring theme with riding this type of roller coaster.

  • Misc. Info - There were several other issues at this park, but none that met our 10+ for documentation. One of the rides that did come close was the Superman ride -- which had several riders black out.

Six Flags Magic Mountain

  • Black Out - Riders on the Tatsu roller coaster have made mention of blacking out during the pretzel loop portion of the ride. Various guests indicated that they do not ever remember the last part of the ride.

    • Riders on the Goliath roller coaster have also made mention of blacking during the last part of the ride. Riders also making mention that they did not remember coming into the final brakes before getting off the ride.

  • Shoulders - Riders on the X2 roller coaster indicated shoulder pain due to the rough nature of this roller coaster and the impact it had on their shoulders. Riders making mention that the restraint was too tight, which also allowed the restraint to dig into their shoulder.

  • Legs - Riders on the X2 roller coaster have indicated that the rough nature of this ride led to calf pain due to the constant banging of their legs into the roller coaster train. These issues appeared to involve riders within the last two rows of the roller coaster train.

    • Riders on the Riddler's Revenge roller coaster have made mention of calf pain during ride. We have that riders failing to properly stand-up upright as one of the main reasons this is occurring.

  • Misc. Issues - Riders on the Batman roller coaster have also made mention of losing feeling in their legs after riding this roller coaster. Rider age varied and issues stemmed from riders sitting within all areas of the roller coaster train. This has been a re-occurring theme with riding this type of roller coaster.

  • Misc. Info - There were various other issues at this park, however, they did not meet the 10+ injuries that we require to report on them. Many of those issues involved dehydration and back injuries.

  • Back and Neck Issues - Riders on the Roar wooden roller coaster have made mention of this rides rough nature. Back and neck related issues were not uncommon with riders. Wide range of age groups who rode this roller coaster.

    • Riders on The Mind Eraser roller coaster also made mention of neck and back issues, echoing the same types of complaints regarding the roughness of the ride.

    • Riders on The Wild One roller coaster have indicated that the rough nature of this ride did a number on their back. Neck issues seem to stem from riders in the last two rows of the roller coaster train.

  • Misc. Injury - Riders on The Batwing roller coaster made mention of ending the ride with a bloody nose. It was mixed, however, with some coming down with bloody noses right at the end of the ride, with others leaving the ride and coming down with a bloody nose.

  • Personal Safety - Guest to this venue have made mention of not feeling safe inside of the park. There were enough issues that we put this information up. General theme: just a lot of punks in the park, which ruins the overall experience.

Six Flags St. Louis

  • Back Issues - Riders on The Boss wooden roller coaster have made mention of this rides rough relentless nature and the number it did on their back. Areas riders sat on the train did not seem to matter with this roller coaster.

    • Riders on the Ninja roller coaster also made mention of back pain associated with riding. More of these issues seem to stem from riders sitting within the middle to back rows of the roller coaster train.

  • Motion Sickness – Riders on the Tony Hawk's Big Spin have indicated the spinning nature of the ride caused intense motion sickness. We highly advise not riding if you are prone to motion sickness, cause you will get sick!

  • Misc. Issues - Riders on the Ninja roller coaster also had issues with ear injuries, headache, migraines, blurry vision, and shoulder injuries associated with the rides hard restraints ramming into their shoulders.

    • Riders on the Batman roller coaster have also made mention of losing feeling in their legs after riding this roller coaster. Rider age varied and issues stemmed from riders sitting within all areas of the roller coaster train. This has been a re-occurring theme with riding this type of roller coaster.

  • Heat Related -  Guest visiting this park should drink plenty of fluids before, during, and after their visit to this park.

  • Back Issues - Riders on The Great American Scream Machine wooden roller coaster made mention of this rides rough nature. Back related injuries observed with riders sitting in all aspects of the train.

  • Misc. Issues - Riders on the Ninja roller coaster have made mention of this rides extremely rough nature.  These issues involved:

    • Shoulder pain due to hard restraint system.

    • Ear pain as well as muffled hearing after exiting the ride

    • Headache due to their heads being slammed into the hard restraint system.

    Riders on the Batman roller coaster have also made mention of losing feeling in their legs after riding this roller coaster. Rider age varied and issues stemmed from riders sitting within all areas of the roller coaster train. This has been a re-occurring theme with riding this type of roller coaster.

  • Heat Related -  Guest visiting this park should drink plenty of fluids before, during, and after their visit to this park. We've pin pointed some of injuries occurring at this park due in part to dehydration issues.

  • Back Issues - Riders on the Rolling Thunder roller coaster have indicated how the rough nature of this ride did a number on their back. Various riders going as far to say that the had to deal with back spasms after getting off of this ride. Age of the injured varied and injuries occurred within all areas of the roller coaster train.
  • Misc. Issues - Riders on the Great American Scream Machine have listed a number of issues with this ride:
    • Shoulder pain associated with rough hard over the shoulder restraints.
    • Ear pain due to repetitive slamming of ears into the hard restraint.
    • Headache due to the rough nature of the ride.

      Riders on the Batman roller coaster have also made mention of losing feeling in their legs after riding this roller coaster. Rider age varied and issues stemmed from riders sitting within all areas of the roller coaster train. This has been a re-occurring theme with riding this type of roller coaster.

  • Neck - Riders failing to keep their heads back during Kingda Ka's launch was a re-occurring theme. With their heads whipping back during launch. Please keep your head back.
  • Misc. Info - While this venue had only 3 issues, there were 2 more roller coasters that had 9 issues, however, we will not report on them. One issue did involve riders blacking out on the Superman flying roller coaster...

  • Back Issues - Riders on the Judge Roy Scream roller coaster made mention of this rides rough nature and pain it caused their back. Riders sitting within all areas of the roller coaster train made mention of feeling back pain with riding ride.
  • Black Out - Riders on the Titan roller coaster made mention of blacking out during various portions of the ride. Many of those who blacked out, made mention that this occurred during the final helix portion of the ride.
  • Misc. Injuries - Riders on the Batman roller coaster have made mention of losing feeling in their legs after riding this roller coaster. Rider age varied and issues stemmed from riders sitting within all areas of the roller coaster train. This has been a re-occurring theme with riding this type of roller coaster.
    • Riders on the Titan roller coaster made mention of leg cramps after riding this ride. We think this can be attributed to dehydration and the hot summer sun. Being that a majority of these injuries on this particular ride occurred during the month of June-Late September. 
  • Motion Sickness - Riders of all ages who rode the Tony Hawk Big Spin made mention of motion sickness after riding this attraction. We suggest those who are prone to motion sickness, please DO NOT RIDE.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas

  • Back and Neck Issues – Issues were mention with Boomerang, Poltergeist, and The Rattler.

    • Boomerang issues seem to stem from the backwards portion of this ride. Riders have indicated that keeping their head back actually hurt their back more.

    • Riders on the Poltergeist echoed the same issues as mention on the Boomerang roller coaster.

    • Riders on The Rattler roller coaster made mention of this rides extremely rough nature. Issues stemmed from riders sitting within all areas of the train. Of those issues, many of them seemed to stem from riders sitting in the middle to back portion of the train. Rider aged varied, however, one re-occurring theme was riders mentioning this ride felt as if it was going to “rip them apart.” One rider even indicating a bracket on his braces came loose due to the rough shaking of this ride.

  • Misc. Head Issues – Riders on the Boomerang roller coaster also made mention of having their heads being slammed into the restraint system. Ear pain and muffled hearing were not uncommon issues with this ride.

  • Heat Issues – Guest visiting this park should drink plenty of fluids before, during, and after their stay to this park. Hot humid summers are the norm, so please plan accordingly. A majority of the heat related issues were preventable with proper guest planning. Guests were extremely gracious and complementary of parks first aid staff in dealing with heat related issues.

  • Motion Sickness – Riders of all ages who rode the Tony Hawk Big Spin made mention of motion sickness after riding this attraction. We suggest those who are prone to motion sickness, please DO NOT RIDE.

  • Misc. Info – Riders on the Goliath inverted roller coaster made mention of losing feeling in their legs after riding this attraction. Misc. head injuries were also noted with this roller coaster. However, this roller coaster did not receive 10+ guest issues. Ride will be monitored in 2010.

  • Back and Neck Issues – Riders on the Cyclone roller coaster have made mention of this rides extremely rough nature. Riders within all areas of the train made mention of how rough the ride was and how that roughness was absorb by their neck and back. Rider age varied as this ride appeared to dish out back and neck pain to riders of all ages.

  • Misc. Issues – Riders on the Boomerang roller coaster made mention of the number this ride did on their head during the backwards portion of the ride. Muffled hearing and blurry vision were not uncommon issues with riding this roller coaster.

    • Riders on The Mind Eraser roller coaster also made mention of Misc. head issues. Those issues involved blurry vision and headache. Many of the issues that came in indicated that riding this roller coaster was like getting punched in the head over and over again.

    • The Flashback roller coaster also had issues regarding Misc. head issues. Those issues center around muffled hearing and also neck pain, however, it must be noted that there were not more than 10 issues related to neck pain on this ride. Headaches were also not uncommon with riding the three mentioned rides, however, 10+ issues were not reported, hence no report. Rides will be watched in 2010.

  • Motion sickness – Riders on Pandemonium have indicated the spinning nature of the ride caused intense motion sickness.. Age varied from 8 to 65 years of age. We highly advise not riding if you are prone to motion sickness, cause you will get sick!
