Injury/Incident Trends:

Curse of Darkastle A lot of motion sickness related issues, many seem to stem from 3 factors:
  • Dirty 3-D glasses
  • Riders who wear glasses and take them off or put the 3-D glasses over their existing glasses
  • Riders who suffer from motion sickness attempting to ride this attraction

While these issues may not seem like much, they were enough to ruin a day for patrons visiting this venue. If you're motion sickness prone, we highly advise avoiding this amusement ride.

This venue, again, just does things right. The issues described below are so minimal that we wished all venues could be Busch Gardens - Europe, in fact if that were the case, we would cease to exist:

  • Sunglasses, keys, glasses, change, and various types of projectiles coming from the Griffon roller coaster. Riders who were entering to get in line for this ride were subjected to these various projectiles that were not properly secured by riders as they came through the first inversion of this roller coaster.

  • Children being pushed down, pushed to the side, and slip and falls were reported at Escape from Pompeii attraction. Many of the children being pushed to the side, were by adults "who did not want to get splashed by the boats as they come down the final drop." Seemed pretty ridiculous, however, during out visit last year, sure enough, two issues observed. A child was pushed to the side, her back hitting into the metal barrier, and one child running away slipped and fell. We can only imagine what goes on during the summer time. -- ASO Staff
